O EXERCÍCIO FÍSICO NA REGULAÇÃO DOS SINTOMAS DEPRESSIVOS NA TERCEIRA IDADE: PESQUISA EXPLORATÓRIA

Resumo


Essa revisão sistemática teve o objetivo de explorar a eficácia e os tipos de exercícios físicos na regulação dos sintomas depressivos em idosos, foi realizada a pesquisa nas bases de dados eletrônicas da PubMed e Cochrane Library de estudos publicados entre os anos de 2010 e 2021, usando a combinação de termos MeSH “exercise”, “physical activity”, “depression”, “depressive symptoms”, “aged”, “elderly”, “randomized controlled trial”, a seleção seguiu critérios de inclusão e exclusão. A busca resultou em 8471 artigos achados, destes foram selecionados 14 ensaios com classificação de 7 a 9 na escala Pedro, dentre eles, 12 apresentam resultados positivos e eficientes, tendo como práticas mais recorrentes os exercícios aeróbicos, fortalecimento muscular e resistência. Sendo assim, conclui-se através desta revisão que o exercício físico é benéfico para idosos com sintomas depressivos e ressalva-se que os procedimentos mais utilizados na literatura são os aeróbicos, força e resistência.
