A ILUSÃO DA MERITOCRACIA E A PRODUÇÃO DO SOFRIMENTO PSÍQUICO
Resumo
RESUMO: O objetivo deste artigo é descrever e discutir o conceito ambivalente da meritocracia no neoliberalismo, bem como a produção de sofrimento psíquico sofrida pelos indivíduos, decorrente da ideia de sucesso interligada ao mérito individual. Além disso, promover uma reflexão acerca das questões sociais presentes no contexto capitalista e neoliberal, como a pobreza e o atravessamento do racismo, a fim de levantar pressupostos que contradizem a lógica do sistema meritocrático.

ABSTRACT: The objective of this article is to describe and discuss the ambivalent concept of meritocracy in neoliberalism, as well as the production of psychological suffering suffered by the less favored classes, resulting from the idea of success linked to individual merit. Furthermore, promote reflection on social issues present in the capitalist and neoliberal context, such as poverty and the intersection of racism, in order to raise assumptions that contradict the logic of the meritocratic system.
