ESCLEROTERAPIA E CLAREAMENTO DENTAL EM PACIENTE COM HEMANGIOMA ORAL: UM ESTUDO DE CASO

Resumo


O hemangioma é considerado um tumor vascular benigno comum na infância, com mais de 60% dos casos que afetam a cabeça e pescoço, sendo o lábio mais afetado na região oral e são mais comuns nas mulheres. Quando afetada, a principal queixa relatada pelos pacientes é a estética. Entre as alternativas de tratamento, a escleroterapia tem sido utilizada com sucesso nessas regiões e pode estar associada ao clareamento dental em consultório para pacientes que buscam tratamentos estéticos. O objetivo deste artigo é relatar um caso clínico de hemangioma do lábio superior usando escleroterapia com 0,05 g/ml de oleato de monoetanolamina (Ethamolin®) como um tratamento associado ao procedimento estético de clareamento dental (Whiteness HP Automixx, FGM), em uma paciente do sexo feminino, considerando as características clínicas e os métodos de diagnóstico desta lesão. O clareamento dental no consultório com peróxido de hidrogênio 35% pode ser indicado para pacientes com hemangioma oral, por ser um procedimento seguro e eficaz.
